School Gymnasium Vaulting Horse
A gymnasium vaulting horse with a leather-covered body, black steel grips and four splayed beech legs that telescope on brass adjusters, braced by red-painted tie rods and shod with cast iron feet. Stencilled boarding names its old home as a girls' school in Northfield, Birmingham. It has been jumped over by several thousand children and has the leather to prove it.
