Red Lacquer Stand with Carved Vine

A tall, narrow stand in red lacquer, the circular dished top carved and blackened with trailing vine leaves and a small insect, on a slender turned column and a shaped quatrefoil foot. The lacquer is rubbed to a softer coral along the raised edges. Too small for anything sensible, and exactly right for one cup and one book.
