Pokerwork Corner Chair with Grotesques

A corner chair in beech, the triangular seat and shield-shaped back panel worked in pokerwork with dense Renaissance grotesques: winged beasts, scrolling foliage and masks burnt into the pale wood. The arms and legs are turned in bamboo form. Somebody spent an entire winter on this with a hot iron, and it shows in the best possible way.
