Oval Pembroke Table with Crossbanded Top
An oval Pembroke table in mahogany, the top crossbanded and strung in boxwood, with a single frieze drawer and cast brass ring handles, on four square tapering legs with brass castors. Open, the top makes a full oval; closed, it slips against a wall. The banding is intact all the way round, which on a table this old is a small miracle.
