Green Velvet Salon Chairs

A pair of salon chairs with tall, gently shaped backs and finely turned show-wood frames, upholstered in a deep green velvet. The narrow proportions let them slip in beside a fireplace, a dressing table or an occasional table. Low, armless and upright, from an era when sitting well was considered a public duty.
