Four-Tier Mahogany Whatnot with Drawer
A four-tier mahogany whatnot, the shelves divided by ring-turned columns with small finials above, and a single long drawer to the base standing on turned feet with brass castors. The colour is deep and the shelves are lightly ring-marked. Whatnot is the most honest name in furniture: nobody has ever agreed what they are for, and everybody fills them.
