Bentwood Settee and Matching Armchair

A bentwood salon settee with a matching armchair, the backs filled with slender turned spindles around pierced oval panels, the arms sweeping out in a single steamed curve, above woven cane seats trimmed with a stud-set border. The frames are stained a deep red-brown and the cane is intact throughout. Furniture bent rather than carved, which is why it is still light enough to move alone.
